Saturday 19th April at 10am: Workshop on 'Public Access Training Info as required for Assistance / Support Dogs' [Alpha Clients £20, others £25]

Saturday 19th April at 12.30pm: Good Citizen Dog Scheme Testing.
Gold & Silver 12.30, Bronze 2.30pm [Alpha Clients £5, others £20]
... 4 (of 5) passed Gold this time, quite an achievement!, well done.

Sunday 20th April at 10am: 3hr Introductory Session for Puppies & calm dogs
NB. We are not running the 12.30 follow-on classes over Easter

Sadly with 90% chance of heavy rain, we have cancelled the classes today, and the GCDS tests moved to Thursday 9th January for those who are available. We hope you and your dogs don't get too wet! and hopefully see you soon.

Christmas and New Year break

We will be closed following our normal classes on Sunday 22nd December until Saturday 4th January 2025. In the meantime, we wish you all a very happy festive break with your wonderful canine companion(s). We also take this opportunity to thank our devoted Alpha Team for their generous and continued support.

Good Citizen Dog Scheme testing moved to 5th Jan 2025

Sadly, our GCDS examiner has just gone down with Covid, so apologies and with fingers crossed, all tests will run on 5th January 2025 (S&G at 10.30, Bronze at 12.30). Our Alpha Team wish all participants the very best of luck, with a little more time to practice.

Bank Holiday Monday workshops

10.30am 'The Art of Clicker Training' - understanding the benefits of precise 'marking' appropriate behaviour is ideal for improving communication skills, and with it, the bond with dog(s). A fascinating tool for everyday use to make training fun and enjoyable for both owner and dog.

2pm 'Structure, Movement & Massage' - a must for all, designed to help owners understand and aid the functional wellbeing of their dogs at all stages of their life, from puppy development, through to their golden years. Spotting signs of pain and discomfort is an essential element when considering a veterinary consult and often an unseen contributor in many behaviour changes.

These practical workshops are expected to run for 1.5hrs - 2hrs, each at £20 for Alpha clients, £30 for others. Numbers may be limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Bank Holiday Weekend 24-26th August 2024

Have fun training in different places over this weekend, as sadly we we not be running classes on Sat 24th or Sun 25th. We might be running workshops on Mon 26th though, watch this space!

Saturday 20th - Sunday 28th July 2024

We will be closed from Sat 20th to Sunday 28th July (inclusive), as some of us will be attending the annual Pet Dog Training Instructors (PDTI) practical awards course. We would appreciate it that from Wed 17th, to avoid a heavy unanswered backlog for our return, you wait until Monday 29th before sending emails or leaving tel messages. In the meantime, for our existing clients, have fun and enjoy your training ... the Alpha Team.

Saturday 27th April Workshops

10.30am Ring-craft / show handling techniques for anyone wishing to know more about the skills involved with showing dogs. Any breed / mixed breed dog welcome.

2.00pm An initial Agility session for first-time people, to get you and your dog(s) over 6 months of age started in this fun activity. (We are hoping to run some follow-on classes for more experienced people next month)

Booking required - Alpha Clients £20, others £30 (for those wishing to repeat £10)
