In order to support the latest restrictions we need to do our part, and although we ran successful sessions last week, it may not have been publicly appreciated in seeing 'groups' working together albeit keeping people at or over the recommended distance.
It is so important to help people educate a new puppy, especially through what has been made an even more difficult time, and or to help those with dogs experiencing home and or social difficulties. We are currently not even able to offer 1:1 sessions but will do so as soon as restrictions are lessened. These will be strictly by appointment for those that really need it, call now to discuss. We will also do our best to offer advice over the phone and possibly using a range of more visual internet facilities ... Do not hesitate to call if you need help or just want to talk things through. Our OUTSIDE CLASSES will continue as usual for the moment, but … we need everyone to work together and be extra sensible and considerate. In some ways this may work in our favour to settle the more over-excited dogs, with all owners having to keep closer control and improve focus.
All on arrival all should keep their distance from each other and from our staff (approx. 2 metres or as instructed). Do not come if you have a sore throat, headache or higher than normal temperature. The distance also applies to your dog(s), as they can carry the virus from affected people on the mucous membrane in their noses. Do not come if it is raining as our small storage hut is too small to be considered safe. PUPPY SESSIONS at our three local vet practices will cease for the time being, however as this is such an important educational time for your puppy, we will pilot them in our park venue. We will be holding two sessions this week: Wednesday (18th) 10.30am & Saturday (20th) 3.30pm. Please bring a picnic-type blanket to sit on with your puppy for the second half of the class. For those with puppies that have only had one vaccination and not out on the streets yet, you may come along with it in arms, and you may also need to bring an extra plastic sheet and puppy pad. |
